Bicycle accident lawyer
California drivers still treat cyclists as optional. Advo Law, APC represents bicyclists hurt by cars, trucks, doors, and unsafe road design when a private party is at fault. Hov J. Kachatoorian (CalBar #282819). Contingency. Offices in Glendale and La Cañada Flintridge. (800) 808-4613.
Dooring on arterial streets, right-hook turns, and “I didn’t see him” left turns are the usual files. Helmet arguments come up; they do not erase the driver’s duty.
Evidence that actually moves a bike case
The bike, the helmet, clothing, the car’s damage height, nearby cameras, and whether the driver was turning across a bike lane. Police reports often under-describe cyclists. Photographs before the bike is repaired or thrown away matter.
Questions
Was I required to be in a bike lane? Not always. California lets cyclists take the lane when the lane is too narrow or the lane is blocked. That is fact-specific.
What if I was riding at night without a light? That can cut damages. It does not give the driver a free collision.
Is this the same as a motorcycle case? Similar physics, different statutes and insurance fights. We handle both.
